“Um dia eu precisei do Bolsa Família e hoje não preciso mais”, disse a psicóloga Raquel Lima Clemente, ex-beneficiária do programa social. Em cerimônia de celebração dos 20 anos do Bolsa Família, nesta sexta-feira (20), a moradora do Espírito Santo contou como a educação e a renda garantida pelo programa mudou a vida da sua família. “Sou psicóloga formada pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, mas nem sempre foi assim. Quando eu tinha 10, 12 anos eu precisei trabalhar em casa de família para ajudar minha mãe, ajudar meus pais com verba e eu não tive oportunidade de estudar”, disse, explicando que, “nos atropelos”, chegou ao ensino médio, mas precisou parar os estudos.
Em 2010, voltou para a sala de aula e em 2018, concluiu o curso superior. O Bolsa Família entrou na vida dela antes disso, quando tinha três dos seus quatro filhos ainda pequenos, o marido desempregado e a família em dificuldade financeira. “Eu pensei comigo: eu não posso cometer com eles a injustiça que eu achei que foi cometida comigo. Eu não posso pegar eles e colocar para trabalhar. Eu tenho que priorizar a educação”, relembra. “Eu fui contemplada com Bolsa Família, então eu não precisei pegar o tempo da tarde deles e colocar para trabalhar. Eles podiam no tempo da tarde ser criança, porque criança precisa brincar na rua, subir em pé de árvore e outras coisas. Eles podiam fazer os trabalhos. Estudar para as provas”, disse, explicando que priorizava a compra de material escolar com o benefício.
A cerimônia foi realizada no Ministério do Desenvolvimento e Assistência Social, Família e Combate à Fome (MDS) e teve participação, por videoconferência, do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que se recupera de cirurgia na residência oficial, no Palácio da Alvorada.
O programa de transferência de renda foi criado em 20 de outubro de 2003, no primeiro mandato do presidente Lula. Coordenado pelo Ministério do Desenvolvimento e Assistência Social, Família e Combate à Fome (MDS), o Bolsa Família busca integrar políticas públicas, facilitando o acesso das famílias a direitos básicos como saúde, educação e assistência social.
