O governador Jerônimo Rodrigues autorizou, nesta segunda-feira (11), a execução das obras de pavimentação asfáltica para facilitar o acesso às novas instalações da fábrica da São Braz e da Fertimax. A obra terá uma extensão de 700 metros e visa melhorar a infraestrutura viária para impulsionar o escoamento de produção e o desenvolvimento local em Conceição do Jacuípe.
A Indústria São Braz anunciou que a sua nova fábrica será inaugurada no dia 28 de março de 2025. O anúncio foi feito durante um encontro com o presidente da empresa, Francisco Leonel. O governador expressou otimismo com o investimento, que, segundo ele, fortalecerá a economia local e contribuirá para o crescimento do setor de alimentos na Bahia.
Com um investimento de R$ 136 milhões, a nova unidade da São Braz será voltada para a produção de flocão, farelo de milho, snacks, colorífico e temperos. A expectativa é que a fábrica gere cerca de 1.500 empregos diretos e indiretos, beneficiando toda a região de Conceição do Jacuípe e áreas vizinhas.
