Vale para botijão começa a ser distribuído a 950 mil famílias
O Programa Gás do Povo passa a atender todas as capitais brasileiras a partir desta segunda-feira (26).
Nesta segunda fase, 950 mil novas famílias de 17 capitais passam a receber o vale para recarga gratuita do botijão de gás de cozinha (GLP) de 13 quilos (kg), que pode ser utilizado em mais de 10 mil revendedoras credenciadas em todo o país.
Segundo o Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Assistência Social, Família e Combate à Fome (MDS), o Gás do Povo deve estar em pleno funcionamento em março, quando 15 milhões de famílias serão beneficiadas.
O programa pretende combater a pobreza energética, definida como a dificuldade de uma família em ter acesso a serviços de energia essenciais e modernos, como iluminação, aquecimento, refrigeração e energia para cozinhar.
