Após as intensas chuvas registradas na madrugada desta segunda-feira (20), o prefeito Fabrício Abrantes determinou a mobilização imediata das equipes da Secretaria de Infraestrutura, Lig Lixo e Defesa Civil para atuar na limpeza de vias, retirada de árvores caídas e desobstrução de bocas de lobo.
Entre 1h10 e 4h30, o município contabilizou 80 mm de chuva na zona urbana e 110 mm na zona rural. Graças às ações preventivas realizadas pela gestão desde o início do ano, Brumado conseguiu conter grande parte dos impactos provocados pelo temporal.
“Nosso foco é cuidar das pessoas e manter a cidade segura. Estamos atuando com agilidade e responsabilidade para minimizar os danos e garantir o bem-estar da população”, afirmou o prefeito Fabrício Abrantes.
“Hoje cedo visitei alguns desses pontos e vi que, embora tenhamos muito trabalho pela frente nas próximas horas, os problemas foram significativamente menores que em outros momentos recentes. Vou seguir esse trabalho de atenção e monitoramento pelos próximos dias, agindo rápido para resolver eventuais problemas”, disse Abrantes.
As equipes seguiram em operação durante todo o dia, com o uso de máquinas e caminhões, dando continuidade ao trabalho de limpeza e manutenção. A Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Social e Cidadania acompanha de perto as famílias que vivem em áreas de risco.
