Na última sexta-feira, o prefeito Sérgio Barros esteve na sede da Embasa, em Vitória da Conquista, para cobrar providências quanto à qualidade da água fornecida ao município de Maetinga.
A agenda institucional contou com a presença do vice-prefeito Daí, da vereadora Vanessa de Laide e do vereador Pedro do Ônibus.
Na audiência, as autoridades municipais relataram problemas, principalmente, na qualidade da água proveniente da adutora que liga Anagé ao município.
De acordo com a prefeito, esta não foi a primeira iniciativa da gestão para tratar do tema.
No início do mês, o prefeito já havia se reunido com representantes da estatal na cidade de Salvador, reforçando a urgência de medidas técnicas que garantam água de qualidade à população.
O prefeito Sérgio Barros destacou que a cobrança é contínua e que novas tratativas estão previstas.
”Estamos cobrando uma solução definitiva. A população de Maetinga precisa e merece receber água com qualidade. Nosso compromisso é acompanhar de perto e exigir as melhorias necessárias para que esse problema seja resolvido o quanto antes”, afirmou.
Segundo o gestor, uma nova reunião deverá ser agendada nos próximos dias com o diretor regional da Embasa, com o objetivo de avançar nas soluções e definir prazos concretos para a normalização do serviço no município.
